They were filming episodes of Dawson's Creek while I was visiting Duke.

It's amazing how busy things are just outside of the tiny field of view of the camera.

They paid all these extras gobs of money to walk back and fourth all day not looking at the stars.  I pretended to be an extra for a few scenes, but I think they ended up being all practices.

I actually met and talked to the guys who play Dawson and Pacey.  They were filming a scene right outside of the only door to the medical center that faced the campus, so I had to wait for them to finish filming before going out of the door.

I thought it was cool, so I sat there watching the director's little screen.  Then Dawson came in and practically colapsed in a chair because they had to pretend it was autumn in New England rather than 100 degrees and humid in North Carolina.

The girl who was supposed to be showing Dawson around was from the Chicago area, so we chilled for a while.  Pacey wasn't in the scene, but he was just hanging out and came in commenting how academic the place looked.  They were nice guys.
