Stanford Campus
| I won't repeat any of the themes from last summer's time at Stanford, but last summer they didn't have a several hundred person banquet set up right in the main quad area. |
| Bill Gates Computer Science building. Sellouts. |
| Their Integrated Systems lab, which I thought was really cool when I was looking at Stanford for Electrical Engineering grad school. |
| They've got a top notch research fabrication facility right next to a sea of cubicles. |
| The fact that they allowed a guy to do this to his cubicle in one of the most preppy schools around gave me a whole new respect for Stanford. |
| Last summer they were still building this new electrical engineering building, complete with a display of all the amazing things the department has done throughout the years, including a display case with an SGI. |
| What completely blew me away was this coffee shop in the lobby of the new electrical engineering building. If John saw this, perhaps he wouldn't be so sure of escaping his yuppie roots. Oh, and in case you didn't want to come all the way downstairs and spend money, they had free espresso machines on each floor. |
| I guess I should include a picture of the more traditional physics building too, since that's why I came. |
