Trip to LA -- Jason Gallicchio

Trip to LA

Over the July 4th weekend, a bunch of us went down to LA to check out the city and to visit some of Greg's friends from his co-op last year.  The guys in the front are Mark and Brian.  I have to thank Mark for providing some of these pictures, and Brian for leaving a better paying job at VLSI to come work with me at SGI a week or two before they canceled our project.  The girl behind Greg is Krista, who was kind enough to let four strangers shack up in her apartment.

Of course we had to go see the fire works.  This is a small group of us enjoying the pyrotechnics in the sky.  Everyone agreed that the ones that sparkle are the best. Question to ponder -- if the fireworks explode toward the crowd, what to fire works look like from the other side?

The only day I took any pictures of my own was the day four of us broke off from the rest of the group and roller bladed around the beaches of the City of Angels.

After a good power lunch, we decided to check out muscle beach and show the locals what we were made of.  This is me looking cool on the curls.

After the grueling exercise, we decided that we were tough enough to risk eating in a restaurant rated "B", as you can see in the window.

As the day ended, we roller bladed home in the sunset, fully planning to return one day.
