
| After a lengthy walk from Harvard through Cambridge, this was my first impression of the MIT campus. Hey mom, can I go here for grad school? |

All around campus, they have these man-hole covers which say, "MIT Steam." Apparently they don't want anyone taking their precious steam. "Don't take our steam!" I guess there was a problem with this one, and so they quickly erected a protective security structure to keep their precious steam safe. (Don't tell anyone, but when nobody was looking... I took some.) |
| This is a picture of a large concrete structure outside of the visual arts building. It's about the nicest thing I saw on the campus, so I had to take a picture of it. |

| I decided to ignore the "MIT Property. No Trespassing" signs and enter a building to get a drink. Only when the security officer asked to see my student ID did I recall that if the steam is so valuable, certainly the water from which it comes must be nearly priceless. |
